How It Started

I was a beginning gardener who wanted nothing more than to grow my own herbs and vegetables. I had visions of fresh tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, and fragrant basil — all from my own backyard.

But I quickly discovered that gardening is hard. Not the digging or planting part — that was the easy part. The real challenge was knowing what to plant and when, understanding the how of planting each vegetable, and most of all, knowing how to take care of the plants every single day, especially as the weather changed.

Questions piled up faster than my seedlings could grow:

• How much water does each plant get, based on how hot it will be today?
• Which ones don't need to be watered at all?
• Do I need to prune anything today?
• What should I be watching for — pests, diseases, something else?
• Why do my radishes have holes in the leaves?

With a busy schedule, it was too difficult to stay on top of knowing exactly what to do each day. I'd Google, read articles, watch videos, take notes, and still end up confused. Between overwatering and underwatering, and missing key care steps, most of my plants didn't survive.

I didn't have time to constantly research and fully understand what each plant needed. And I knew I wasn't alone.

The Solution

So I decided to create the Personal Harvest Helper app — a simple tool that would tell me each day what needed to be done in my garden in a way that I could easily manage before work.

The app is designed from the ground up for beginner gardeners who want to grow their own food but don't have the time or expertise to research and plan everything from scratch. It eliminates decision fatigue by giving you a clear, personalized daily plan based on:
